Online Analytics

A few of my videos, posts, & articles from the past year have recently started to receive more online traffic.  Without knowing much about what factors influence google to make videos appear in viewers search results or suggested videos, I have to believe the spike in YouTube views is directly related to the amount of other content I have started publishing.  Regardless of what is causing people to view the videos on my channel, it is really cool to see the uptick in interactions with others from all over the world.  I love seeing all the new likes, comments, views, shares, ect. And I am so appreciative to those who are willing to spend their time to check out Foley Woodworking on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, www.foleywoodworking.com, etc.

I haven’t produced enough material to draw any real conclusions from the analytics, and use it to provide content that people find either valuable or more entertaining, so for right now I am simply using the data as a form of entertainment to see all the places around the world where traffic is coming from.  Here are a few examples of the surprising places people are watching videos from: Norway, France, India, Pakistan, Myanmar, Kyrgystan…. etc.

In the the future as I continue to publish more content, I will begin to look for analytic trends between different videos, blog articles, or web pages, that could help me keep the viewer more engaged and interested by simply making slight adjustments to how and when I publish.

Regardless of analytics I just wanted to give a very sincere “Thank You” to everyone for checking out Foley Woodworking.
