Being a family man with a 20 month old daughter and a baby due in less than two months, not to mention the full time job that pays my bills every month, I am trying to find ways to make life a little simpler. I am hoping to reach a point where I can spend more time on the parts of the business that I find enjoyable. Personally I love the part of the business that allows me to make stuff. Even working on the jobs that require me to make hundreds of the same item is still a more enjoyable use of my time than sitting behind a computer.
During the next year or so I will be working on consolidating all the various tools and sites I have been using to manage the day to day operations. There are already a number to woodworkers/makers that have converted their sites to wordpress and do not regret their decision. I am hoping to have the same experience. As I start to better understand what I am able accomplish through wordpress I will begin migrating those tools, etc. over as well and eventually foleywoodworking.com will call wordpress home.
